Stones River National Battlefield

Hi everyone! I’m the new CVA at Stones River National Battlefield. Our park is in Murfreesboro, Tennessee, just 40 minutes down the road from Nashville. I have my Bachelor’s degree in history, and am currently finishing my Master’s degree in Public History at Middle Tennessee State University. I interned at Stones River last summer (2019) and I loved every second of it! I gave interpretive programs, cataloged and processed museum collections, took part in 19th century artillery demonstrations, and helped out at the visitor center. There is never a dull day at the battlefield. We offer our volunteers a variety of opportunities to learn new things, hone their existing skills, or generally help out the park through community/ group events. That is what drew me to this position, and I cannot wait to learn so much more about parks and volunteer management in this next year!
