Amber VanMeter

Golden Gate National Recreation Area

Amber was born and raised in west Michigan. She spent most of her childhood outside, which ultimately led to her wanting to advocate and work for public lands. She majored in Outdoor Recreation and minored in Sustainability & Environmental policy at Central Michigan University (Fire up Chips!). She has worked in various capacities at parks in Montana and Utah over the last couple of years. She has been chasing new experiences and opportunities that allowed her to be outside and connect others with nature as well. She will be serving as the CVA at the Golden Gate National Recreation Area in San Francisco, CA. She is excited to explore and work in a park that is nestled into an urban setting. In her free time she enjoys crafting, running, eating, and making new pals!
