Emily Butko

Gulf Islands National Seashore

Emily Butko grew up in St. Charles, Michigan where a sense of environmental stewardship was instilled at a young age. Growing up she knew that she wanted to work outdoors and with people. This goal led her to Central Michigan University where she is finishing her undergraduate degree in Recreation, Parks, & Leisure Services, with a concentration in Environmental Education and a minor in Museum Studies. She is excited to spend her last semester as a CVA at America's largest National Seashore. During her CVA journey she is looking forward to connecting people with their natural resources and sharing her love and passion for the outdoors with them.
