Emma Hilliard

Glacier National Park

This is Emma Hilliard's second year as the CVA member in Glacier National Park! Emma grew up in Big Bear, CA where she lived 15 minutes from the ski slopes, which was amazing and allowed her to go downhill skiing almost everyday after school. She cannot snowboard, but it is not for the lack of trying. She went to Northern Arizona University in Flagstaff, AZ and studied Environmental Sciences with an emphasis in Management and a minor in Biology. She has worked in environmental education in California, Arizona, New York, and Washington state. In between all of those jobs Emma spent five months in Europe where she backpacked the Camino de Santiago in Spain (500 miles) and the South West Coast Path in England (630 miles). She has always enjoyed traveling and has a goal of visiting all 50 states (currently at 34). In her spare time she enjoys a myriad of things, including hiking; reading; cross-country skiing; drinking coffee; running, but only sometimes and not particularly fast; snowshoeing; enjoying a movie night with friends; crocheting; drinking more coffee; baking; and exploring. She also recently learned how to knit, so look out world!
