Erica Ruston

Alaska Public Lands Information Center

Erica Ruston (she/her) is thrilled to be joining the Anchorage Alaska Public Lands Information Center as the 2021 Community Volunteer Ambassador. She was born in Anchorage, Alaska on Dena’ina homeland and was primarily raised in the sunshine state of Florida before moving back in 2016. She currently attends the University of Alaska Anchorage where she is pursuing a B.S. degree in Environment and Society with a concentration in Geology and a minor in Dance. As the CVA for the AAPLIC she looks forward to engaging with the diverse communities in Anchorage and hopes to inspire others to utilize and preserve the beautiful public lands Alaska has to offer. On her time off you can find Erica exploring the vast mountains of Alaska on a hike, at a dance rehearsal, doing crafts with friends, or ice skating with her dog in the wintertime.
