Juan Pablo Esparza-Limón

Dinosaur National Monument

September 2022

Juan Pablo is a first-generation college student pursuing a Bachelor’s in Earth Sciences with a Specialization in Geology at Southern Methodist University. Most recently, he served as the Science Communication and Resource Monitoring Intern at Dinosaur National Monument through the Latino Heritage Internship Program. This summer position introduced him to the National Park Service and the rewarding field of nature conservation. Now as the Community Volunteer Ambassador, he hopes to share his passion for the great outdoors and extend the accessibility of the National Park Service to those who have not explored the park system. He looks forward to collaborating with new volunteers and developing enriching volunteering events for the community.

If you are visiting Dinosaur National Monument, Juan Pablo recommends hiking the Desert Voices Trail and visiting a Night Sky Program at the Split Mountain Campground!
