Kaia Lohr

Cumberland Island National Seashore

Kaia (they/them/theirs) is a recent AmeriCorps NCCC Pacific Region alumnus. They are originally from Chicago but have lived in southeast Georgia for the past five years. Kaia visited Muir Woods National Monument and Nez Perce National Historic Park during their AmeriCorps term and was inspired to pursue opportunities that involved the preservation of public lands for generations to come.

They are stationed at Cumberland Island National Seashore and love exploring the park and the operations of NPS at this site. They are determining an education path that will potentially lead them to work in public lands. In their free time, Kaia enjoys watching movies, playing with their dogs, and going to the beach.
