River Raisin National Battlefield Park

I am from Toledo Ohio, which is about 20 miles south of my site at the River Raisin National Battlefield Park. I have degrees in Bioengineering and History. I will be finishing up my Masters in History this year. I study urbanization in Detroit as a result cleanliness and sanitation movements in the early nineteenth-century. So, my personal research picks up right after the events which happened during the War of 1812, which is what the River Raisin NBP preserves. When not working or researching my husband, daughter and our miniature dachshund like to travel around the US to the National Parks. My daughter who is one and a half already has a nearly half full passport book of stamps. Other than that I am a history nerd so I am really enjoying being at a historic park!
