President's Park (White House)
Kay Johnson grew up in Baltimore, Maryland and is an avid traveler and lover of all things outdoorsy.
As a non-profit professional, she most recently worked to coordinate and manage youth programs. In that role, she really enjoyed working with young people and believed that it was very important to connect her students to outdoor opportunities that allowed them to experience new things and broaden their perspectives.
She believes that all people of color; young and old, should have opportunities to access the outdoors. In this new role, she hopes to learn more about National Parks and Historic Sites, while also increasing access to the parks for people of color.
Kay truly enjoys working in collaboration with others to improve her community and is thrilled to make an impact at President’s Park in Washington, DC, through various initiatives.
