Latyfshabazz was born and raised in Paterson, New Jersey and attended PANTHER Academy High School. He has completed college courses in criminal justice at Passaic County Community College. Most recently, he worked in real estate with a developer in the local community. Laytfshabazz credits the Great Falls Youth Corps of Paterson (GFYC) for encouraging positive change in himself and the community. While a member of GFYC, Latyf accepted the Environmental Quality Award from the United States Environmental Protection Agency for his landscaping projects at Paterson Great Falls National Historical Park. Latyfshabazz is excited to be starting this September as a CVA member. He loves working within his community, conducting educational programming and is looking forward to paving the way for more youth to become Stewards in Conversation Legacy.
