Lloyd Crawford

Gateway National Recreation Area

Lloyd was born in New Jersey but grew up in Pennsylvania, in a city near Philadelphia named Dresher.
After completing high school, he moved back to NJ and attended Middlesex County college with a
journalism degree. There was only a short while however, before Lloyd discovered his true passion of
environmental science through recreational activities like hiking, and a desire to help the world around
him. After that discovery, he transfered to Kean University and graduated with a B.S. in Environmental
Biology. In joining the CVA program at Gateway National Recreation Area, he hopes to provide aid to
the state endangered Piping Plover by spreading community awareness, making sure methods to
ensure the Plover's survival are well known.
