Maggie Reyes

Valles Caldera & Manhattan Project National Historic Park

Maggie Reyes was born in New Jersey but was raised in Roswell, NM. After graduating high school they ventured off to New York City and completed a rigorous programming bootcamp before returning back home to complete an Associate’s in Computer Information Systems at Central New Mexico Community College in Albuquerque.
It was while between semesters that they went to work in the hotels in Grand Canyon Village at Grand Canyon National Park and fell in love with what the park system had to offer. Working as a volunteer at Petroglyph National Monument and the Gila Cliff dwellings piqued their desires to interact with visitors and to share with them the history, recreational activities and natural beauty New Mexico had to offer.
Determined to continue working with the park service, they applied to be the CVA at multiple sites but soon accepted a joint position at Valles Caldera and Manhattan Project NHP. They hope to interact with many new and returning visitors and enthuse them about the land while serving as the starting point for future volunteers to come.
