Mary Prachthauser

Mammoth Cave National Park

September 2022

Mary is from Morristown, NJ. She graduated from Drew University in 2021 where she studied media and communications, environmental studies, and art. Her recent experience includes serving with AmeriCorps National Civilian Community Corps (NCCC) out of the Southern Region where she worked on projects including disaster response, trail work, and construction as well as coordinating volunteer events. She also spent time as a Student Conservation Association bat monitoring intern at Mammoth Cave National Park, assisting with the evening emergence counts.
Mary is excited to serve as Community Volunteer Ambassador at Mammoth Cave. She hopes to be able to expand upon her volunteer coordinating skills, as well as gain experience in engaging with the public about environmental stewardship.
In her spare time, Mary looks forward to kayaking the Green River, exploring the cave, and birding. She also can’t wait to see what inspiration the park will provide for her art.
