Melanie Wedemeier

Paterson Great Falls National Historical Park

Growing up in Northern New Jersey, Melanie had access to hiking, exploring her grandparent’s farm, and swimming down the shore. Her love for all things outdoors started as a child when she would spend her time digging for bugs and continued as she spent most of her time outdoors as a three-season athlete. Melanie is recent environmental studies and data analytics graduate from Seton Hall University. Her education as well as experience in the environmental nonprofit world introduced her to water quality testing, macroinvertebrate sampling, educational programming, biodynamic farming and GIS mapping. In her past position with the Lake Hopatcong Foundation, she was involved in programming educational field trips centered around lake ecology, which led her to her position as the Community Volunteer Ambassador at Paterson Great Falls. She is very excited to be a part of the team and looks forward to what the year will bring her.
