Meredith Courteau

Mesa Verde National Park

February 2022

Originally from Northwest Indiana, Meredith grew up swimming in Lake Michigan, hiking through diverse
ecosystems, racing her siblings down sand dunes, and discovering a deep love towards the nature
around her. This will be Meredith's second year in the CVA program, serving at Mesa Verde National
Park in Southwest Colorado.
Meredith graduated from Indiana University-Bloomington with a BS in Recreation in May 2021. While in
school, she spent two summers as a Cabin Leader at the Dunes Learning Center in Indiana Dunes
National Park where she found her passion for connecting people to the outdoors. Last year, she was
the CVA at Petersburg National Battlefield in Virginia. In her free time, Meredith enjoys hiking, reading,
cooking, and visiting new places.
Meredith is excited to be serving at Mesa Verde National Park and is looking forward to supporting
their volunteer program, engaging with the local communities, and connecting visitors to the park's
natural and cultural resources. She can't wait to see what the future holds!
