Miranda Klimas
Lake Mead National Recreation Area
Miranda Klimas grew up in the suburbs around Philadelphia, spending weekends in the Pocono Mountains with her family, hiking, kayaking, and swimming. Growing up, visiting national parks, participating in wolf tracking expeditions and owl banding, helped her gain a position at Delaware Water Gap National Recreation Area as a seasonal park ranger. Working in the interpretation division, she has learned the importance of core values, teamwork, and interpretative techniques. She is in her final semester before graduating with a degree in Outdoor Recreation Management from East Stroudsburg University. She has a strong belief in family values and the impact one person can have on a community. During her leisure time she enjoys camping, traveling, and attending guided tours and hikes.
