Samantha Toback

San Antonio Missions National Historical Park

Samantha Toback is an experienced informal educator and volunteer administrator with a particular fondness for astronomy, wildlife, and history. She comes to the San Antonio Missions National Historical Park from the Witte Museum, where she worked for 5 years in the Public Programs department. Sam shares her interests and passions with others through her volunteer roles with Astronomy on Tap SATX, taste of science San Antonio, and Texas Parks and Wildlife (she served as the State Park Ambassador for Palmetto State Park in 2018). Additionally, she volunteers with Miles4Migrants, helping to reunite refugees, asylees, asylum-seekers, and their families who have legal approval to travel but cannot afford airfare. She loves helping people learn about and make connections with the world around us, whether it's in the ground under our feet or in the skies above our head. Sam is excited to learn from and collaborate with the San Antonio Missions NHP team over the next year!
