Sarah Helding

Pullman National Monument

February 2022

Sarah grew up in Wisconsin, moving to Chicago to attend DePaul University where she received her BA
in Environmental Studies and her MS in Environmental Science. After graduation, Sarah worked as a
restoration ecologist where she furthered her connection with the land and environment. She was also
able to work as an outdoor educator where she got to share her passion for connecting people with
their environment. She now serves as the CVA at the Pullman National Monument in Chicago, IL. She
hopes to share her love for conservation and stewardship with visitor and create welcoming volunteer
opportunities. While not on the job, Sarah likes to spend as much time outside as she can whether it be
playing ultimate frisbee, kayaking, hiking, or walker her dog!
