Natali’s love for cultural preservation and the outdoors came from having a Latino family who fully embraces their roots, continues its traditions and has moved cross-country multiple times while immersing themselves into the different surroundings and culture. As a small child, her parents would take her and her sister camping and they would participate in all outdoor events provided for children, like archery and fishing. When travelling, she will always look for a ghost tour and a local coffee shop to sip and read; as well as take photographs of the landscape and stopping by historical markers.
In 2021, Natali graduated from Texas Tech University with a Bachelors in Anthropology and a Minor in Ethnic Studies. During her term in Lyndon B. Johnson National Historical Park, she hopes to be able to learn about Interpretation, Education and Community Outreach in order to help guide her in teaching the public the importance about both natural and cultural preservation. After her term, she hopes to continue her service through the Park Service wherever that may be or go on to learn new skills like archaeology or curating!
