Juan Bautísta de Anza National Historic Trail

September 2023

Sam is from Forest Lake, Minnesota where she obtained her undergraduate degree in Communications and Hispanic Studies. She continued her education in DC at American University, getting her masters in Intercultural Communication. After serving with Arizona Conservation Corps, she wanted to continue working in conservation while leveraging the skills she gained throughout her studies. She currently resides in Tucson, Arizona and is thrilled to engage with various partners along the historic trail, while learning from the local community. In her free time, you can find her hiking, camping, blogging, or playing the ukulele on her balcony with the hummingbirds that frequently visit her feeder.
