Serena was born and bred on the west coast, having grown up in Central Washington and attending San Diego State University, where she earned her bachelors in anthropology. She never saw herself as a west coaster and applied to serve in the Outer Banks of North Carolina, where Serena hopes to learn about the ins and outs of the national parks system, especially policy and procedure. When she's not in the office Serena loves to bake, go thrift shopping, and paint. A fun fact about her is that she's driven cross country three times and has visited the Bass Pro Shops Pyramid in Memphis, Tennessee.
