Klondike Gold Rush National Historical Park- Seattle is one of four national park sites included within Seattle Area National Park Sites. The Community Volunteer Ambassador (CVA) will act as a full-fledged member of the park’s outreach team and interact directly with partners. The intern will work directly as a mentor in the In My Backyard program- the park’s conservation leadership development and youth outreach program. The intern will support this and the park units around the Seattle area in expanding service-learning activities, and community engagement programs.

Klondike is an urban National Park Site in the center of a major metropolitan area, and provides urban audiences with a critical link to the mission and divers resources of the National Park Service.
