National Park American Samoa
Ariel Charity Fa’ali’i is from the beautiful island of American Samoa. There she attended the local community college and graduated with a Degree in Automotive Technology and another one in Civil Engineering Technology.
She has taken classes at the Land Grant Department, where she gained knowledge within the agricultural field, and went on field trips to local agencies like the Marine Wildlife Resources and Environmental Protection Agency.
After College, she was employed by the American Samoa Power Authority at the ESD Engineering division as a Water Inspector. Prior to being hired, she was an intern with the company’s Surveyor team, from there she had the chance to conduct plane surveying duties for company projects.
Ariel is assigned to serve at the National Park of American Samoa with the goals of raising awareness and increasing the level of engagement from the local community in park programs.
As a Samoan woman, she is deeply rooted in her culture and faasamoa lifestyle; she values her country, people, and especially her family.
A few of her hobbies consist of photography, sightseeing, nature, music, and playing sports. She is excited and very enthusiastic to be a part of this program and looks forward to all the adventures it has in store.
