Emily Haryasz

Steamtown National Historic Site

Fall 2024

Emily graduated from Franklin Pierce University in 2022, where she earned a B.S. in marketing, with minors in digital media design and environmental studies. She grew up in Western Massachusetts and, after graduating, decided to head off and explore instead of returning to her hometown. As part of her adventure, Emily found herself working at a state park in Michigan, deckhanding in Alaska, and completing a section of the Appalachian Trail.
Emily's next adventure brought her to her current position as a CVA at Steamtown National Historic Site in Scranton, Pennsylvania. She enjoys visiting national park sites and is excited to get her foot in the door with the National Parks Service. In her free time, Emily enjoys a variety of outdoor activities including hiking, rock climbing, and hammocking with a good book. Her passion for travel continues to shape her goals and outlook on life, and she is hoping to establish roots in a career that connects her with nature and allows her to continue adventuring!
