Kate hails from Atlanta, GA. After graduating from the University of Georgia with a bachelor's in History, she served a year as the Community Volunteer Ambassador at Niobrara National Scenic River. For her second year, she chose to serve a bit closer to home at Guilford Courthouse National Military Park.
Kate is eager to put her degree to work at this historic site and is particularly excited about the opportunity to work with volunteers on the park's citizen archivist program, as she is passionate about sharing the stories of everyday people. She is also looking forward to using what she learned at her first-year site to enhance park programming on the natural and scenic values of Guilford Courthouse.
