Kendall Brockelman

Gateway National Recreation Area - Sandy Hook Unit

Fall 2024

Kendall is from South Florida and earned her B.S. in Natural Resource Conservation from the University of Florida in Spring 2023. During her time in college, she was a communications and outreach intern for a nonprofit land trust and developed her love for organizing volunteer events. After graduating, she started the U.S. Forest Service's Resource Assistants Program, where she worked as an Environmental Planner for the Shasta-Trinity National Forest's Shasta McCloud Management Unit in Mount Shasta, California.
In September 2024, Kendall drove across the country to start her CVA position at the Gateway National Recreation Area's Sandy Hook Unit in New Jersey. She is excited to help educate visitors on protecting Sandy Hook's vital wildlife, work with returning and new volunteers, and develop her own engaging outreach events and pop-ups. In her free time, Kendall loves to hike, run, explore local areas, and plan her next road trip!
