La'Nae Charles

Virgin Islands National Park & Coral Reef Monument

Fall 2024

La'Nae is an Ancestral St. Johnian, who is passionate about cultivating community engagement and an appreciation for her island’s rich history and culture. She holds a bachelor's degree in arts administration from Marywood University in Scranton, PA and holds American University in Washington DC, as her alma mater for her graduate studies in Arts Managment. With this education and knowledge, she was afforded the opportunity to serve as Archival Curator with the Department of Planning and Natural Resources, in the Virgin Islands. La’Nae has a deep love and regard for the arts, history, and the great outdoors. She enjoys hiking and immersing herself in nature and hopes to encourage her community to do the same.
