Ryleigh Palmer
Ocmulgee Mounds National Historical Park
Winter 2024
Ryleigh Palmer, accompanied by their trusty sidekick and certified hearing dog Chloe, hails from Athens, GA. After dabbling in the world of elementary and middle school teaching, Ryleigh felt the call of the wild pulling them back to their true loveāthe great outdoors. Currently serving as a CVA at Ocmulgee Mounds National Historical Park, they're on a mission to become an Interpretive Ranger (and bark ranger, respectively) with the National Park Service.
Their journey is marked by resilience and determination, fueled by a passion for exploration and a deep love for the great outdoors. Chloe is certainly eager to put her park-sniffing skills to good use, (even if she's technically on the clock).
With every interaction, Ryleigh and Chloe strive to make the wonders of nature and history accessible to all, leaving a positive impact wherever they roam. Whether it's sharing stories of ancient civilizations or leading guided tours through scenic trails, they're dedicated to fostering a deeper appreciation for the beauty that surrounds us.
